Hope in Chaos by Aania Jain
In this sequence, I wanted to bring out the main theme of the journey. Journey through life or simply travelling from one place to another. While going through marine drive, I saw these construction signs that were there to caution the people walking around the site, however those same alerts could be used to motivate people and thus I chose to capture them.
A lot of the pictures have contrast, balance and different unique compositions. I have played with the composition by
using odd points and the rule of third to make my sequence more interesting and captivating to the audience. I have
mostly tried to use the same analogous and chromatic colour scheme to give the sequence a natural flow. I divided my
space to capture more of the negative space in the pictures but at the same time incorporate some positive space. I did this so that I could have a clear focal point and main object. I also did this because I wanted to make the audience feel nostalgic and create a mood of optimism. Again, helping me bring out the theme of hope in chaos.
