This artwork talks about a student in a difficult academic situation. The figure and tower of eyes show how one is constantly feeling under pressure while trying to meet the expectations of society. The blast from the ‘kryptonite’ represents the other responsibilities that the figure has, such as maintaining a healthy social life, diet, exercise and work. The chaotic energy in the background of the artwork brings about the confusion the figure faces while the foreground brings about the figure’s sense of doubt. The composition uses the rule of thirds to direct the viewer to the bold black figure, making it the focal point of the artwork.
