Fridays are exciting as we look forward to sensory play, music and movement and engaging experiences that stimulate our little beings. We eagerly await Fridays as we have our Golden time scheduled for that day where students voice choice is seen in action. A glimpse into one of our recent Fridays will show you the Happy Humans we are and how we aspire to be inspirational little leaders at school taking small steps towards action to make this world a better place for all.
As we consolidated our understanding of living and non-living things to tune into our Central Idea ‘The Earth’s cycle influences the activities of living things’ students suggested that since plants were living things we should take care of them and this led to our Friday golden time experience of exploring the greenery in our school campus, spending time with our in house gardener learning about the different types of plants and even bringing a plant pet into the classroom. Student-led class action came alive as the Nursery class wished to take care and grow this plant until they are at EIS and have it planted on the campus with their batch name on it thus demonstrating collective efficacy.
