Edubridge in Action: Visualizing Goals for a Brighter Tomorrow

In Junior Kindergarten, we read the story  ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’  to help us settle in and learn more about ourselves. Gerald’s journey taught us that setting goals is important for personal growth and self-discovery. The story shows that everyone can succeed if we establish our own goals.

This experience helped us set our initial goals for the year, and we’re excited to create new ones as we progress. Setting goals gives us direction and motivation, helping us focus on what we want to achieve and allowing us to celebrate our successes by the end of the year.

In Senior Kindergarten, we delved into the Learner Profile Attribute of being Goal-Oriented by listening to a read aloud –  ‘Salt in His Shoes’, the inspiring true story of Michael Jordan. The book illustrated the importance of hard work, daily practice, patience, and perseverance we should have whilst achieving our goals. This powerful narrative set the stage for our students to establish their academic and personal goals for the year.

The Next Steps in Goal Setting at Edubridge
