Geological origins of the Sahyadri (Western Ghats in Maharashtra) and the mountain range’s current topography, with connections to socio-cultural aspects, including ancient trade routes, caves, forts and temples, many of which are 2000 years old ignites curiosity within young adventurers and explorers. To showcase the beauty and rich flora and fauna of Maharashtra’s glorious Sahyadri, Our guest speaker for the MYP assembly Mr. Shantanu Pandit who is Outdoor Educator & Wilderness Safety Expert, took us on a virtual trip experience and made us familiar with the unobserved geography with richness of life and legacy in and around Sahyadri.
